Starting a full-time programme
Would you like to start a technical higher education programme after secondary education or previous studies? A full-time bachelor’s programme at Fontys Technology offers a broad, practice-oriented education. You will work on real-world challenges, often in collaboration with companies, and gradually develop into a job-ready professional.
All bachelor’s programmes have a standard duration of four years and start in September. The programmes Automotive, Technical Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and Management, and Mechatronics also offer a second intake in February. These programmes are available in Dutch and English. Please check the individual programme pages for requirements and admission criteria.
Are you looking for a shorter, practice-oriented higher education programme with a strong focus on real-world application? A full-time associate degree is a two-year programme that suits students with vocational education backgrounds or relevant work experience. You will learn mainly by doing and quickly develop practical skills for the professional field.
After completing an associate degree, you can enter the labour market or continue your studies in a bachelor’s programme.
All associate degree programmes have a duration of two years, start in September, and are offered in Dutch only.
Students who would like to strengthen their Mathematics and Physics knowledge before starting a bachelor’s or associate degree programme can take the basic Mathematics and Physics course. This preparatory course helps you build the required foundation for your studies.
The course starts in February or September and is offered in Dutch only.

Deepening or broadening your studies
Minors are elective modules that allow you to explore a specific topic alongside your main programme. You can choose a minor after completing the first year of your bachelor’s programme. A Fontys minor is offered full-time and is available twice a year, starting in September and February.
Within Fontys Technology, a wide range of minors is available, allowing you to deepen your expertise or broaden your knowledge in a specific technical field.
Within Fontys Technology, we offer three master’s programmes at level 7, which is equivalent to a master’s degree. These two-year, full-time programmes start in September and are taught in English.
The programmes build on a completed bachelor’s degree and focus on practice-oriented learning. You work on complex, real-world technological challenges, often in collaboration with companies and research groups, and further develop your expertise at master’s level.
Curious to find out whether a master’s programme or minor suits you? Join an open day or an information session. Online information sessions are also available, especially for students who are not able to visit in person.
