Frequently asked questions

Your deadline depends on your nationality, your programme and whether you start in September or February. Fontys Academy of the Arts has different deadlines.

If you need a visa, apply as early as possible. This gives you enough time to arrange everything.

Some of our study programmes offer the NL Scholarship for non-EU/EEA students. There are also scholarships from other organisations. You can find these on StudyinNL.

Start looking for accommodation as early as possible. You are responsible for finding a place to live. If you cannot arrange suitable accommodation, we strongly advise you not to travel to the Netherlands. Your tuition fee depends on:

*your nationality*your programme and start year*whether you already have a degree from a Dutch higher education institutionfontys

Together, these decide if you pay the statutory fee (set by the Dutch government) or the higher institutional fee (set by Fontys). Use the tuition fees indicator to see which fee applies to you. The amounts are an indication only.
