The average gross monthly salary of a graduated mechatronics engineer in the Netherlands is €3.650, with a minimum of €2.800 and a maximum of €4.500.
After completing the Mechatronics programme, you can work as a system architect, service engineer, industrial automation specialist, designer, control technician, technical consultant, or project manager. You could also consider careers in healthcare, robotics, or software engineering. The possibilities are endless.
Mechanical engineering and Mechatronics are both technical fields, but they have different areas of focus. Mechanical engineering is concerned with machines and how they work, while Mechatronics focuses on combining machines with electronics and computers. Mechanical engineering is broader and mainly deals with mechanical components, whereas Mechatronics specifically looks at integrating mechanics and technology to create smart systems.
