Facilities and learning environment
At Fontys Technology, you learn and work in an environment where technology is at the heart of everything. Students and researchers use teaching labs, workshops and test facilities where theory and practice come together. This is where things are designed, built, tested and improved.
But there is more than the technical spaces. Through student associations, student teams and extra programmes for talent development, you work alongside fellow students who are just as driven as you are. And if you need support, Student+ and other initiatives are there to make sure you can follow your studies in a way that works for you.

At Fontys Technology, research always starts with a concrete challenge from practice. Students, researchers and industry professionals work together to explore what is really going on, identify possible solutions and develop a working prototype or test setup to demonstrate that the technology works.
As a result, students contribute to real projects, researchers test and validate technology, and businesses gain practical knowledge and solutions in return.
A significant part of this research takes place within the Centre of Expertise High Tech Systems & Materials (CoE HTSM), where research groups, students and partners collaborate on innovations in high-tech systems and advanced materials. From designing and controlling complex technical systems to developing new materials and manufacturing technologies. Fontys Technology researchers also contribute to several other Fontys Centres of Expertise.
Collaborating with Fontys Technology
Fontys Technology works with businesses on education, research and innovation. From internships and projects to guest lectures and joint research activities: together we train students with practice-based knowledge and work on technological innovation in the region.

Locations
Fontys Technology is located in the heart of the Brainport region, one of Europe's most important high-tech ecosystems where businesses, knowledge institutions and governments collaborate on technological innovation. As a student, you are close to industry and regularly work on real-world industrial challenges.
Our education and research take place across multiple locations: the Nexus building in Eindhoven is our home base, where students, researchers and partners come together. We are also active at the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven, the Automotive Campus in Helmond and on the Fontys locations in Tilburg, Venlo and Eindhoven.
