Steven Vos (1976) is lector Move to Be bij Fontys Sporthogeschool en hoogleraar ‘Design and Analysis of Intelligent Systems for Vitality and Leisure Time Sports’ aan de TU/e.
Steven Vos is een bruggenbouwer tussen disciplines, beleidsdomeinen en sectoren, maar vooral tussen mensen. Hij wil mensen inspireren en enthousiasmeren om hun grenzen te verleggen en elkaars expertises te versterken, met respect voor ieders eigenheid en talenten. Samen met een team van enthousiaste onderzoekers wil hij nadrukkelijk bijdragen aan het slim en duurzaam verankeren van een actieve leefstijl op op maat van personen en hun omgeving. Het onderzoek situeert zich op het snijvlak van diverse disciplines.
Steven heeft ruime ervaring in het opzetten, uitvoeren en managen van (internationale) onderzoeks- en innovatieprojecten, het ontwikkelen van kennis- en innovatieagenda's, en het uitbouwen van onderzoeksprogramma’s. Hij heeft een warm hart voor praktijkgericht onderzoek. In 2021 won hij de prestigieuze Deltapremie voor praktijkgericht onderzoek voor de impact die hij realiseerde samen met zijn team op de samenleving, het onderwijs en het onderzoeksdomein (www.deltapremie.nl).
