C. (Cindy) Verstappen

Cindy is sinds 1999 werkzaam binnen de vakgroep hart- en vaatziekten. Ze is begonnen als verpleegkundige op de afdeling cardiologie en sinds 2003 gediplomeerd werkzaam als verpleegkundig specialist. Ze behandelt en begeleidt patiënten met hartfalen op de hartfalenpolikliniek en maakt deel uit van een multidisciplinair team. Daarnaast is ze inzetbaar op de hartlounge (cardiologie), waar ze de verantwoordelijkheid draagt voor de allround pre- en postoperatieve zorg voor de dagopnames. Ze streeft naar continue verbetering van hartfalenzorg. De patiënten zijn uniek en hebben naast hartfalen nog andere co-morbiditeit. Het aanleren van zelfmanagement en het toepassen van de actuele behandel richtlijnen voor hartfalen op de individuele patient is een dagelijkse taak die ze met veel passie uitoefent. Haar ambitie is om technologie op maat binnen de zorg toe te passen.
