Research & innovation

At Fontys Technology, we carry out practice-oriented research in close collaboration between students, researchers and companies. We always start with a concrete technological challenge from practice. Together, we explore what is really needed, investigate possible solutions and develop a demonstrator to show that the technology works in a real-world setting.

Research, education and practice are closely connected. Students work on real challenges, researchers test and validate technology, and companies benefit from applicable knowledge and solutions.

A significant part of this research is brought together within the Centre of Expertise High Tech Systems & Materials (CoE HTSM), where research groups, students and partners collaborate on technological innovation. In addition, researchers from Fontys Technology also contribute to research within other Centres of Expertise across Fontys Hogescholen.
