Centre for Entrepreneurship
CVO can help you in every phase of your entrepreneurship. To develop your entrepreneurial skills, we offer two pathways: the Minor Entrepreneurship, a 20-week programme in which you learn how to set up or further develop your own business, and the Business Development Academy (BDA), where you can further explore and realise your entrepreneurial ideas with guidance and support. These options allow you to work on your future in your own way.

Frequently Asked Questions – Fontys Centre for Entrepreneurship
All Fontys students from any study programme or year who:
- want to start or grow their own business,
- want to become more entrepreneurial,
- are interested in entrepreneurship-related programmes or events.
Entrepreneurship is about running or starting a business. Being entrepreneurial is broader – it means taking initiative, spotting opportunities, and solving problems creatively, even within existing organisations.
These are just a few examples of entrepreneurial behaviour. At the CvO, we work with a broader set of competences based on the EntreComp Framework, which outlines the key skills and mindsets needed to act on opportunities and create value – in any context.

You can apply for the Business Development Academy through our website. After signing up, one of our Business Developers will invite you for an intake session. From there, you’ll receive personal coaching to prepare for a pitch to our advisory committee. If successful, you’ll earn the official Fontys Student Entrepreneur status.
That’s totally fine! You can still participate in workshops, brainstorm with our coaches, and explore what fits your interests and talents.
Since 2025, you’ll find us at Rachelsmolen R10, room 0.60, on the Eindhoven campus.

Yes! Many of our activities and programmes are offered in English or are bilingual. We also offer international projects and support for students from abroad.
Already running your own business? Great, you’ve got plenty of options! You’re always welcome to join one of our workshops or events to gain new insights or expand your network.
If you’re looking for more in-depth support, the Business Development Academy offers personal coaching tailored to your business needs.
You can also apply for the Student Entrepreneur Program (SOR) to work toward becoming an official Fontys Student Entrepreneur. This status comes with various benefits to help you combine your studies and your business more effectively.
We also offer the minor Entrepreneurship in English. In this programme, students usually work in teams to start a business. However, if you already have a more established company and want to focus on growing it, we offer individual coaching and flexibility to support your development.
