Get a good impression of what your study programme will look like.
In the 4-year International Business bachelor’s programme, you’ll grow into a versatile business professional. Beyond mastering theory and assignments, you’ll gain self-awareness and learn to collaborate effectively. Reflecting on yourself and teamwork are key to excelling in your chosen field.
In the first 2 years of the International Business programme, you’ll gain knowledge and tackle assignments. Later, you’ll grow more independent, taking a minor at one of our 125 partner universities or completing an internship. Throughout the entire 4-year programme, you’ll be supported by our teachers and fellow students.
The first semester of the International Business programme in Eindhoven, called ‘Soft Landing,’ introduces you to both the course and student life. Alongside theoretical lessons, you’ll engage in assignments and group projects throughout all four years. You’ll apply theory and develop skills like project management, leadership, and communication. Senior students support you with study sessions and personal guidance.
In your second year, you'll deepen your knowledge of business basics like Marketing, Business Process Management, Law and Ethics, Finance, Accounting, and Business Research. You'll also choose an elective subject. At the end of your first year, you can apply for the Honours Programme. If selected, you'll join the Talent Academy in your second year, participating in a special programme until the fourth year.
In year 3, you’ll complete a minor and an internship at an international company, with the freedom to choose which to do first. You also decide where to study and work, potentially spending the entire year abroad! Every student must spend at least 1 semester (30 ECTS) abroad during their studies, whether for the internship, minor, or graduate internship.
In semester 7, you prepare for graduation by learning to write business proposals and studying ethics. You'll select a focus area: Marketing and Sales, Finance and Accounting, or Business Processes.
In your final semester, you undertake another internship, tackling a real-world company issue through research and providing recommendations. Upon completion, you'll earn your internationally recognised Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
From day one, gain broad business knowledge and tackle exciting projects, such as starting your own company. In the first year, you'll build a broad knowledge of marketing, business, finance, and logistics. After your first year you can choose your own specialisation. Project-based learning and a personal approach are key throughout the four years.
In year 1, you’ll work together with students from International Finance & Control, Marketing Management and Logistics, while exploring the basics of international trade and business. Learn how these topics interact in decision-making. After this year, you can continue within the International Business programme or switch to another programme without delaying your studies.
With the start of the second year, you choose one out of two study profiles: International Business Manager or Human Resources Generalist. Apply the theory learned in practice by working on projects that reflect real global business challenges, such as international market expansion, cultural collaboration and organisational change. Besides that, you also set up your own company in the 'Start-Up Factory'.
Year 3 focuses on practical application and broadening your professional and international skills. It consists of the minor (6 months) and an internship in an (international) company (6 months). You’re free to choose which component you complete first. You also have total freedom in choosing the country in which to follow the minor and undertake your work placement. In other words, if you wish, you could spend the entire year abroad!
