Get a good impression of what your study programme will look like.
This practical study programme teaches you how to handle finances in a company. You will learn everything about bookkeeping, budgeting, creating and analysing financial reports. You will also develop skills to help with decisions about money, such as investments and cost control.
From the start, theory and practice go hand in hand. In the first year, you gain broad knowledge across finance, business, logistics, and marketing. After the first year, you'll select a financial perspective to specialise in, from planning and control to data-driven decision-making. Develop practical skills in analysis, reporting, and project management throughout the Bachelor’s programme.
In year 1, you’ll work together with students from International Business, Logistics and Marketing Management, and explore the basics of finance and business while learning how these areas connect in company decision-making. After this year, you can continue with the International Finance & Control programme or switch to another programme without study delay.
With the start of the second year, you choose one out of two study profiles: Performance Management Accountant or Data-Driven Finance Controller. Gain real-world business insights and deepen your expertise in topics such as financial planning, risk management and performance analysis. Engage in practical projects, including the StartUp Factory, where you can start your own company.
Year 3 focuses on practical application and broadening your professional skills in a free choice semester. You have the freedom to shape a semester to suit your interests. Combine it with it an internship, follow a special semester at Fontys or another Dutch university, study abroad as a minor, or work on an additional project to deepen your expertise.
In year 4, you focus on your study profile with advanced courses and a company project linked to your chosen specialisation. Conclude with a six-month internship and bachelor thesis addressing a real financial or business challenge.
