Finance and Control is a versatile business education. Learn everything needed to start a career as a financial professional by working on real company cases and using data to support business decisions. In the first year, build broad knowledge of marketing, business, finance, and logistics. After your first year you can choose your own specialisation.

This programme is focused on financial insights and control, instead of general business or marketing. You will dive deep into numbers, planning, budgeting, and learn more about advising businesses. With these skills you can help organisations with their financial strategy and improving their financial health.
After graduating from the Finance & Control study programme you can work in various organisations like multinationals, consultancy firms or even the government. Our graduates work as financial analysts, business advisors, controllers or data analysts.
In year 3 it is possible to do an internship abroad and/or follow a minor abroad. This gives you a chance to gain international experience. Fontys collaborates with 125 partner universities and companies in the region and abroad.
Applied science universities are more focused on practice and are strongly career-oriented. Technical universities are more theoretical with focus on research and innovation. If you prefer to learn things by doing, applied university is a way to go.
