Facilities and learning environment
At Fontys Technology, you learn technology in practice. Students and researchers work every day in an environment where ideas are designed, built, tested and improved. Our facilities and additional provisions reflect the technical character of our education and offer space to deepen your knowledge, collaborate and further develop your talent.
From modern labs and workshops to study associations, student teams and additional programmes, the learning environment at Fontys Technology supports students in different ways throughout their studies and prepares them for a future in professional technical practice.
Extras for students
Studying at Fontys Technology is about more than attending lectures. Alongside your programme, there are many opportunities to further develop yourself, collaborate with others and make the most of your time as a student. These include study associations, student teams, additional programmes and personal guidance.
These activities and facilities support you throughout your studies and help you grow into a confident technical professional.
Student+ Technology
Student+ offers coaching around various themes, such as planning, home sickness, motivation, pressure from home or stress. Besides this, Student+ also offers help in the step towards an internship or work.

Makersplayce
The Student Participation Council proposed a creative, technical workshop to work on their personal projects. Make use of the knowledge, machines and tools available at Makersplayce.
Study associations
Join one of our young and active study associations.
Innovum is for students of Automotive, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics.
sv Planck is for students of Applied Science and Applied Physics.
Students of Industrial Engineering and Management can join Lean or the Bedrijfskundig Genootschap Eindhoven.
Student teams

Student Ambassadors
Are you planning to study at Fontys and do you want to know more about a study programme or do you have questions about student life? Our student ambassadors are happy to answer all your questions!
Student Sport Center (SSC)
The SSC is the meeting place for students and staff of Fontys and TU/e. With 400 classes per week across 70 different sports, fitness activities and courses, guided by qualified (elite sports) instructors, and 38 student sports associations, this is the largest sports centre in Eindhoven.
The different labs at Nexus
At Fontys Technology, technical labs and facilities form the core of our education and research. Students and researchers work with professional equipment to design, build, test and improve technology. The labs are closely connected to current applications from the professional field and are used for education, projects and practice-oriented research.
In this environment, students learn to work with technology as it is used in professional practice. Companies also make use of these facilities for collaboration, experimentation and innovation.

Networking and entrepreneurship
The learning environment at Fontys Technology does not end at graduation. Through our alumni network and the Centre for Entrepreneurship, students and graduates remain connected to Fontys, the professional field and each other. In this way, we support professional growth, entrepreneurship and knowledge sharing, also after graduation.
Centrum voor Ondernemerschap
The Centre for Entrepreneurship (CvO) supports students and alumni who want to start their own business or develop entrepreneurial skills. From shaping an idea to launching a company, entrepreneurship is given the space to grow.
