Strategic Advisory Board

Composition

The Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) has a broad composition, with representatives from education, research & innovation and the IT work field. Participants are individuals who hold a strategic position within a company or organisation related to the work field of Fontys ICT.

Focus

The SAB advises Fontys ICT on strategic topics in light of relevant national and international developments that impact education and research in the ICT work field. Among other things, they provide advice on developments in:

  • Technology
  • Organisation
  • Education and Research
  • Professionalisation and personal development

Membership

Membership of the SAB is a personal title, nominated by the managing director of Fontys ICT or the chairman of the SAB. Membership is unpaid, lasts for three years and, after evaluation and mutual agreement, can be extended once for a further three years.

Pick-up and drop-off

Three elements are central to SAB meetings.

  • Contribution: we ask members for advice on a variety of strategic themes. In addition, we expect them to contribute ideas and be actively involved in at least one of the themes from Ambition Plan #023 Open Up.
  • Delivery: we always invite an interesting speaker to discuss themes that are relevant to our members.
  • Meeting/networking: during the meetings, there is room for informal meetings and networking in inviting environments. Dinner is also provided.
