"My current role within Canon Europe is at the intersection of business and ICT. It is important to build bridges between these two areas by learning to speak each other's language and gaining a better understanding of each other's challenges. All this is done to better achieve Canon Europe's strategic goals. I also try to fulfil the role of bridge builder within the SAB by asking questions that really matter: what are the needs in the market? How can Fontys ICT best respond to these needs? How can we give current students an insight into what it is really like in the business world? Not everything that will be important to students in the workplace later on is written in books. The diverse composition of the SAB can play an important role in conveying this “experience” to Fontys ICT, current and future students."
