"With over 25 years of experience in the ICT sector, I am aware of the interaction between education and the ICT sector. As an internship and thesis supervisor and guest lecturer, I work with ICT students, among others. Working with students means working with the future and vice versa. In the here and now, we do this with SPARC through various forms of collaboration with Fontys ICT and by participating in various research projects. The Partners in Innovation of Fontys ICT are united within the SPARC (Sharing Platform for Applied Research Co-operation) cooperative. We see and experience that Fontys ICT is at the forefront in several areas, such as hybrid learning environments, innovation labs, diversity and attention to sustainability, both within and outside the programmes. Looking even further ahead than being at the forefront, I would like to contribute ideas within the SRvA about how students entering the labour market in the second half of this decade should be equipped. This includes both hard and soft skills that are relevant to the professional field at that time. In this way, you can also advise on what education and in what form should be offered by then, within the vision of Fontys ICT".
