Logistics Engineering combines engineering, technology and business. You learn how to improve logistics processes using data analysis, automation, simulation and smart technologies instead of focusing on designing physical products.
The Logistics Engineering programme focuses on dealing with the vast amount of data that needs to be investigated. Using efficient solutions through smart process design, operations optimisation and data analytics. The Logistics Management programme centers on management theory and monitoring performance within supply chains. Students focus on both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
After graduating from the Logistics Engineering study programme you can start working in a logistics company. Since every sector relies on logistics, there are a lot of possibilities. You can work as a logistics engineer, logistics advisor, operations manager or supply chain manager.
In year 3 it is possible to do an internship abroad and/or follow a minor abroad. This gives you a chance to gain international experience. Fontys collaborates with 125 partner universities and companies in the region and abroad.
Yes. Logistics Engineering is part of the shared first year (broad propaedeutic programme) together with Logistics Management, International Business, Finance & Control and Marketing Management. During your first year, you can discover which programme suits you best and, if needed, switch without study delay.
