Through Artistic Research you gain a deeper understanding of your craft, contribute new knowledge to the field, and discover fresh perspectives on your work. You further enrich by learning from professionals, students, and lecturers of other master’s programmes in art.

Structure of the next two years

Artistic Research is a vital part of our programme, blending creative practice with scholarly inquiry. It helps you to explore, experiment and reflect. It gives a deeper unstanding of your craft and contribute new knowledge. We collaborate with other master’s programmes, fostering interdisciplinary exchange and enriching the educational experience.

First year

First year

You have individual and group lessons on your instrument, based on your personal plan. That plan will be finalised with the coaches during the first month. You choose three electives, that will fit your need to become a complete professional. Six research days are planned to teach and inspire you to research a topic that fits your personal artistic practice. A performance exam is planned where you can show your achievements.

Second year

Second year

The work on your artistic plan continues. There are two projects to connect your plans to your professional future. Together with your research coach you will finalize your research. The career coach assists you in creating and finalising your personal development plans, whcih you will truly discover during the programme. Eventually all three parts, artistic, research and professionalism, will show in your final performance.
