Conservatorium Tilburg offers you preparatory trajectories to further develop your talent and prepare you for the bachelor's audition.
You need a certain level of musical skills to join this programme. During the audition, you can show your performance skills and theoretical knowledge.
Please read the guidelines for audition in the main subjects on the webpage JAZZ and CLASSICAL carefully.
After applying, complete the online preselection by uploading your audition materials. Successful candidates will proceed to live auditions or online interviews.
The official deadline to subscribe for a programme for EEA candidates is July 1, but mind you: the audition deadlines are before this date. The deadline to subscribe for a programme for non-EEA candidates is April 1, but mind you: the audition deadlines are before this date.
To take part in the audition you first have to apply via the online portal www.studielink.nl, where you can submit and manage your application. Requirements differ for EU and Non-EU students.
The pre-selection is online. You have to upload the audition assignment to your personal file. It will take a couple of days to proceed through all the steps, so make sure you start in time. The last audition week is not accessible for non-EEA candidates because of the Visa procedure. You only participate in one audition week.
After the pre-selection only selected candidates will advance to the live audition (for candidates living in the Netherlands/ Belgium) or to the online interview (for candidates living in other countries).
The auditions will take place in the following weeks:
9-13 February 2026 - deadline for uploading material for the preselection is 21 January 2026

When you are invited for a live audition for the jazz profiles the commission prefers to see you perform with a group or band of your own. So if possible, bringt your own musicians to the audition to accompany you.
Part of the audition proces is a theory test.
If you are admitted, the student administration will send you an email about your enrolment and will ask you to send your diploma / degree certificate.
Taking care of your finances is an important part of student life. There are tuition fees, possible scholarships, and (proof of) living expenses to consider.
Wondering how much your tuition will be? Please check out our tuition fee indicator.
Good to know: The Dutch Immigration Service (IND) requires non-EEA students to prove they have access to a certain amount of money per year or semester.
Besides tuition fees, there are more costs such as textbooks, introduction, excursions and a good laptop. Are you planning to move into a student room? Then you will pay rent and other living costs such as gas, water and internet. International students in the Netherlands typically spend €1100,- to €1500,- monthly, covering rent, insurance, food, transport, clothing, and more.
Check on DUO whether you are eligible for study financing or a student public transport pass.
