Great that you are interested in one of our technical programmes. We can imagine that it is difficult to discover exactly what the difference is between these programmes. That is why we would like to help you on your way! On this page, you will find info on the different programmes and practical information. The various programmes

We offer five technical bachelor programmes: Applied Mathematics, Automotive Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics. In addition, we also offer master programmes.

All our programmes start in September. Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering offer another start moment in February.

In the third year of your bachelor's programma, you will have the opportunity to select a minor that aligns with your interest and career goals. Each minor offers a unique specialization area, allowing you to explorer diverse facets of engineering. At Fontys Engineering, our English minors include:

Difference between university of applied sciences and research university

The main difference between an university of applied sciences and a research university is that an university of applied sciences focuses on putting knowledge directly into practice and a research university is more focused on scientific research. Programmes from both universities result in a bachelor degree.

Nexus building

Welcome to Nexus building, the central location where all Fontys Engineering bachelor programmes have their starting point.

Here, your academic journey begins in a place infused with knowledge and innovation. As a student at Nexus, you become part of a vibrant community, where you not only lay the foundation for your education but also have the opportunity to experience the lively atmosphere of the nearby campus of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and the Student Sports Centre.

The different labs at Nexus

You will find several labs in the Nexus building, all equipped with the latest facilities. For example, you will find 3D printers in the Objexlab and a metal laser cutter in the Technique workshop.
