Over the course of a year, this multidisciplinary programme brings together a diverse group of artists from across the globe, all eager to explore the role of art in society and to engage with contemporary issues.

Your programme

Master Performing Public Space is a blended learning programme

This means that the programme combines continuous online and intensive on-site education. Intensive weeks are hosted on-site in Tilburg, the Netherlands. Continuous one-on-one coaching will guide and enrich the development of your individual research project.

Your programme

What are you going to learn?

  • Artistic research, co-creation, participatory practices

    You acquire the skills needed to conduct artistic research together with artist from other disciplines.

  • Public space discourse, networking, entrepreneurship

    You develop well-grounded artistic strategies.

  • You will attend artistic workshops by relevant artists from the field and theory lectures

    You gain a stronger awareness of and position in the sociopolitical context.

Your programme

What will the year look like?

One year of one-on-one coaching, self-study, collective online sessions and a total of 6 intensive weeks on-site in Tilburg. During the intensive weeks you will form a group and be exposed to new artistic practices and co-creational activities.

Contribute to the further development of art in public space and society

Graduates of Master Performing Public Space can undertake various roles within the context of public space and can successfully integrate them into their future professional practice.

  • If you have completed a relevant bachelor's degree, you are eligible for admission.
