EEA nationality please check the deadlines below. These dates show when you must apply and complete your enrolment to start your bachelor, master or associate degree study programme at Fontys.
Deadlines for applicants with an EEA* nationality
These deadlines apply to students with an EEA passport who apply for a bachelor’s, associate degree (Ad) or master’s programme.
*The European Economic Area (EEA) includes the countries of the European Union and three other countries: Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
September start
Apply before 1 June
Final deadline: 15 August
February start
Apply before 15 November
Final deadline: 15 January
Exceptions
Some programmes have different deadlines:
- Fontys Academy of the Arts
- Sport en Bewegen (Dutch only)
- Management in de Zorg (Dutch only)
Please check the programme webpages for the exact dates and details.
Missed the deadline?
You can still apply for most programmes until 15 August (for a September start) or 15 January (for a February start). However, it’s best to apply on time. This gives you more time to prepare and makes sure your place in the programme is guaranteed. However, student housing options may be limited if you apply late. Always contact your programme to check if you can still register after the main deadline.
Student housing
Finding accommodation can be challenging. Fontys can help you find a room for your first study year, but availability is limited.
Apply for housing via Fontys from:
- 1 May (September start) or 1 October (February Start)
Complete your housing form before:
- 15 June (September start) or 6 December (February Start)
To qualify for housing, your tuition fee payment or authorisation must also be completed by these dates.
Tuition fee payment
You will receive instructions on how to arrange your tuition fee payment once your enrolment is processed. Payments (or authorisations) are possible from the end of April.
General payment deadline:
- 31 August for the September start
- 31 January for the February start
For housing applicants, earlier payment is required:
- Before 15 June (September start)
- Before 6 December (Spring start)
