Deadlines for applicants with a non-EEA nationality
These deadlines apply to students from outside the EEA who usually need a visa and/or residence permit. Fontys will apply for these documents on your behalf.
*Non-EEA countries are any countries that are not members of the European Economic Area (EEA), which includes EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.

Missed the deadline?
If you apply after these dates, Fontys cannot guarantee enough time to arrange your visa and residence permit.
If you do not need Fontys to apply for these documents on your behalf, please contact us to discuss your options.
Visa and payment deadlines
To process your visa in time, both your tuition fee payment and all visa documents must be completed by:
- 15 June (September start)
- 6 December (February start)
Student housing
Fontys can help you find a room for your first year of study, but places are limited.
You can apply for accommodation from:
- 1 May (September start) or 1 October (February start)
Submit your housing application before:
- 15 June (September start) or 6 December (February start)
Exceptions
Some programmes have different deadlines:
- Fontys Academy of the Arts
- Sport en Bewegen
- Management in de Zorg
