If you have a Dutch passport or Dutch prior education, please check the deadlines below. These dates show when you must apply and complete your enrolment to start your bachelor, master or associate degree study programme at Fontys.

Deadlines for applicants with a Dutch nationality

These deadlines apply to students with a Dutch passport or Dutch prior education who apply for a bachelor’s, associate degree (Ad) or master’s programme.

September start

Bachelor and Ad (full-time)

Apply before 1 May
Final deadline: 31 August

Bachelor and Ad (part-time) and master's programmes

Apply before 1 September
Final deadline: 31 August

February start

All programmes (full-time, part-time, master)

Apply before 1 February
Final deadline: 31 January

Missed the deadline?

You can still apply for most programmes until 31 August (for a September start) or 31 January (for a February start). However, it’s best to apply on time. This gives you more time to prepare and makes sure your place in the programme is guaranteed. Always contact your programme to check if you can still register after the main deadline.

Exceptions

Some programmes have different deadlines:

  • Fontys Academy of the Arts
  • Sport en Bewegen (Dutch only)
  • Management in de Zorg (Dutch only)

Tuition fee payment

You will receive instructions on how to arrange your tuition fee payment once your enrolment is processed. Payments (or authorisations) are possible from the end of April.

Final payment deadline:

  • 31 August for the September start
  • 31 January for the February start

Quick answers...

This depends on your nationality and when you want to start.

  • Dutch students: before 1 May (September start) or 1 February (February start).
  • EEA students: before 1 June or 15 November.
  • Non-EEA students: before 1 June or 15 November (visa required).

We advise you to apply as early as possible.

In most cases, you can still apply until the final deadline

September start: 1 August or 15 August.

However, applying late might mean fewer housing options or delays with your enrolment.

Yes, Fontys can help you find a room for your first study year. However, housing is limited and cannot be guaranteed.
