In some cases, dance education and choreographic experience may be assessed using different criteria to allow for a broad range of applicants. Equivalency will be determined by Codarts and Fontys once the applicant has been shortlisted.If you are unsure whether you are eligible for the programme, you can request advice from the course team.
The student must have an ongoing relationship with an institution or professional in the field who can provide access to studio space (outside of the intensive weeks), offer feedback, and, if possible, facilitate the presentation of the final production in a discipline-appropriate public setting. If you don’t yet know who this could be or where to look, our team can support you in finding a suitable partner.
For all programmes conducted in English Fontys Academy of the Arts has set minimum language requirements.To prove that you meet these requirements you will be asked to send one of the English language certificates.
This programme has a selection procedure. The application deadline for the 2025-2026 academic year was January, 31, 2025, and has therefore passed. The next start date for our 2-year (biennial) Master's Degree programme is August 2027.
From October 1, 2025, you can register for the 2027-2028 academic year.
Studielink.nl is an online portal that allows applicants to apply and maintain their registration whenever they want to. The application process may differ for EU and Non-EU students.
Applicants who appear to meet our entry requirements will be invited to upload materials to their personal admission file. Deadline: 16 February 2025
Eligible applicants will be informed if they are invited to participate in our online 'Wicked Weekend' on 29 and 30 March 2025. Day 1 is a workshop about the investigation of a wicked problem in a co-creative setting. On day 2, interviews are held with individual students.
