Graduate Master in Applied IT

"This master’s programme helped me clearly define my research field.

Through focused guidance and applied research projects, I discovered the area of IT I want to specialise in. That clarity has been incredibly valuable.

The programme provided both direction and confidence for my future in applied IT research".

Graduate Master in Applied IT & Full-Stack Software Developer at Erasmus Q-Intelligence

"I graduated from the Master in Applied IT in 2024 and now work as a Full-Stack Software Developer at Erasmus Q-Intelligence. I develop software for projects such as gender pay gap research and the national Crossover+ Kidney programme. Alongside this, I teach programming courses at Erasmus.

What I value most about the master's programme is that it taught me to look beyond coding. I learned how to analyse complex problems, review research, design solutions and evaluate their impact. This research-driven approach helps me every day, both as a software developer and as an educator. One project that still benefits me today focused on MLOps, the deployment and maintenance of machine learning systems. At the time it was an emerging field, but with the rapid growth of AI, those skills have become increasingly important in professional practice.

The IT sector is changing constantly, but the programme taught me something more valuable than a specific programming language: how to learn, adapt and think critically. AI can support software development, but human expertise remains essential for making decisions, understanding context and creating solutions that truly meet users’ needs.

If you are curious, enjoy solving complex challenges and want to build skills that remain relevant in a rapidly evolving digital world, this master's provides an excellent foundation for your future career."
