Programme:

• Monday - 13:30 – 17:00 | Opening & Panel Discussion

This event officially launches International Week at Fontys Campus Venlo to explore why the region is an attractive hub for international talent to live, study, and work. Following an inspiring alumnus presentation, an engaging panel discussion featuring the Venlo Alderman for education, the Director of Fontys International Business Studies, a Fontys alumnus, and a regional business representative of Canon will discuss local career opportunities and regional development - before concluding the afternoon with an informal networking reception. • Tuesday - 13:00 – 16:00 | Location: tent outside canteen | Study Abroad, Cultural and Minor Fair

Join our study abroad and cultural fair to explore partner universities worldwide, hear inspiring student stories, and celebrate our international campus community through global food, music, and customs! If you don’t plan to study abroad check out the Fontys minors on Defence, E-preneurship, AI-Systems, Customs Management, American Business Culture, Global Development Issues, Acceleration Academy, Taal en Cultuur, HEROES, and South Korean Entertainment, Business & Global Impact.

Not sure how to approach companies or what to say at Career Day? In this interactive workshop, you'll clarify what you're looking for, practice introducing yourself and asking the right questions, and build the confidence and strategy to make meaningful connections. (workshop hours)

Workshop 1 - Collaboration readiness? | 11:00 – 12:30

In this interactive workshop you explore the essential attitudes, skills, and conditions required for effective, meaningful group collaboration. Through practical insights and self-reflection, you learn how to move beyond simply working alongside one another to build truly productive, supportive, and engaged teams.

Workshop 2 - Moral Food Game: Working in multicultural teams | 12:30 - 14:00

Discover the hidden personal values that guide your daily decisions by playing the Moral Food Game, an interactive one-hour research tool developed by Dr. Sonja Floto-Stammen. Through food-related choices and group discussions, you will uncover your core priorities (like sustainability or health) and gain key insights into why people respond differently to products and brands.

The Fontys Venlo Career Day is back for its 12th edition! At this event, companies from various industries will be on our campus to connect with new talent and offer specific internship opportunities. Take advantage of this opportunity to network, and who knows, maybe your dream internship is already waiting for you.

• Global Lounge party | 17:00 - 20:00

End the week in style with a great closing party and DJ. Come join us for a drink, snacks and as always great company. Let's dance the night away to the music that reminds you of home, the music of you our Fontys students.

Marketing Management, Finance & Control and International Business students can receive workshop hours for registering and participating in the panel discussion and all workshops.
