Support

Contact the student psychologist. They provide short-term support and refer further if needed. If your motivation is low, schedule an appointment with the student dean. You can make an appointment via Fontys Helps (login using your Fontys account).

Go to the student dean. They help with motivation, look for solutions (continuing, pausing, quitting) and can request facilities via, for example, the examination board, DUO or the student support fund. You can find appointments or walk-in hours via Fontys Helps.

The student dean advises on possibilities and arrangements and helps think about suitable facilities. Make an appointment via Fontys Helps.

Your Fontys account

  • First register via Studielink. Usually you will receive your Fontys account within 1 working day.
  • Still nothing? Contact the student administration of your programme.

Often this is because of a payment arrears. After a first warning your account may be blocked temporarily after 14 days. After payment it will be reopened within a few working days (learn more via the Payment Arrears page).

If there is no payment arrears, it might be a technical problem. Call the IT Servicedesk: 08850 77777.

For security reasons we handle this by phone. Call the Customer Contact Centre: 08850 80000. We will ask you a few verification questions and help you immediately.

Diplomas & certificates

Request it from the student administration of your programme. In your email mention: which document you need, for which purpose (e.g. employer or SVB), and your name, date of birth, programme and student number.

If your employer pays, you confirm the digital authorisation yourself in Studielink. For reimbursement your programme can issue proof of payment. Fontys does not issue invoices to employers. If the proof of payment is not sufficient, contact your programme. This also applies to proof of enrolment.

Congratulations! Each Fontys institution arranges this themselves. There are no central dates, and the number of guests varies by programme. Contact your student administration for date, location and arrangements.

Alumni, internships & collaboration

You can network, attend events and take further education. More information and registration are on the Alumni page.

Yes. Through our centres of expertise, programmes, lectorates and partners collaborate on real-world questions. These centres focus on sectors important for welfare and prosperity and train professionally inquisitive people who translate knowledge into new products, technologies and services.

How to get started:

  • Go to our Research page and choose the theme or centre of expertise relevant to your question.
  • Contact the lectorate or project coordinator for possibilities, planning and collaboration.

Fontys works in a decentralised way: each programme has its own internship or graduation coordinator and its own conditions. There is no central application process.

Here’s how:

Visit Internships and Graduation and choose the programme that matches your assignment/place.

Submit your internship or graduation assignment via the portal/form of that programme or contact the internship coordinator.

If it is a research assignment, contact the lectorate that matches your theme.

Would you like to collaborate closely with Fontys? Then check out the For Employers page.
