Course description
In this course you will learn about, and experience the role of business consultant. The course contains of two tracks running in parallel:
- dealing with complex organisational problems, and setting up a solid change programme;
- building a relationship with your client in order to commit them to your proposal.
Competences
Organizational behavior, problem recognition, diagnosing, designing, changing and evaluating.

- Analysis recognition & description of key issues in an organisation;
- Diagnosis: identifying root causes;
- Design: development of an effective change strategy;
- Implementation: deployment of your change strategy into interventions;
- Presentation: convincing your client to accept your proposal.
General course information
Required previous knowledge
The course requires a basic level of knowledge on subjects like strategy, organisational structure, process management, leadership, management. Due to the interactive way of working a reasonable level of English is absolutely required.

Way of working
Interactive classes and a group assignment and regular attendance is essential for successful
participation and progress in this course (the lecturer will keep track of your attendance). Our
educational concept is founded on developing skills and based on (group) work in class; attendance is therefore paramount.
Failure to meet regular attendance may result in ineligibility for certain assessments, or
disqualification from completing the course. We strongly encourage all students to prioritize their attendance and actively engage in class activities.
Exam
Written proposal and presentation.
Caesura
A final score of 5,5 or higher leads to passing the course and receiving the related 4 ECTS.
Retake exam
The retake of the exam is scheduled at the end of the semester. This is usually two or three weeks after the first exam week.
