Enric Marco, Spain's greatest impostor

In May 2005, I travelled to the suburbs of Barcelona to visit 84-year-old Enric Marco in his small house on the outskirts of the city for my newspaper, Liberation. For decades, he had been telling the Spanish people about the Nazi death camps better than anyone else, in high schools and in the media. His imposture had just been exposed. It was up to me to sit down with him, listen to him, ask the right questions, and try to understand the unbelievable: an entire life woven from lies.
