Visa requirements Visa Requirement for Korea Exchange Students Students going to Korea for an exchange (minor) must apply for a D-2-6 student visa. To obtain this visa, you need to show proof of sufficient financial resources: • Approx. 10,000,000 KRW (± €7,000) for one semester • Approx. 20,000,000 KRW (± €14,000) for a full year Accepted proofs: • Bank statement with blocked funds • Scholarship certificate (covering the required amount) This requirement is set by the Korean Ministry of Justice and applies to all universities in Korea. Students who cannot provide this proof cannot proceed with the exchange.

Housing options

Only a small number of scholarship recipients or students from designated countries will be allowed housing in the Dormitory due to lack of space. Thus, most exchange students including Europeans and Latin Americans will be placed in off-campus housing. However, Hanyang University will help you to find suitable housing.
