Not required. What does matter is that you have strong analytical skills and are open to trying out new tools.

Fundamentals of AI
You’ll learn what AI is, how it works and where you can apply it. From Vibe coding tools to machine learning. You’ll build a solid foundation for understanding and evaluating AI.
Applying AI in your own practice
You’ll work on a real-world assignment from your own work or from one of our partners. This way, you’ll not only learn about AI in theory, but also apply it in situations that really matter.
Responsible use of AI
AI brings opportunities, but also challenges. You’ll learn to consider privacy, ethics and legislation. This will enable you to make informed choices when using AI.
Collaborating and sharing
You’ll work alongside fellow professionals from various fields of expertise. You’ll share knowledge, experiences and perspectives. This enriches your learning process and inspires new ideas.
Your project, your learning path
You’ll work on a practical assignment that’s relevant to your work. Your personal coach and lecturers with diverse areas of expertise will guide you. This ensures you always maintain a connection with your field of work.
Collect your products of learning
You’ll compile what you create and learn in an online portfolio, which you’ll regularly present to your lecturers. This way, you’ll receive continuous feedback and see your progress. At the end of the course, this portfolio will form the basis for your assessment.
The programme lasts 18 weeks.You can start in September or February each year.

You’ll need a higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking, as well as several years’ work experience. IT experience isn’t required. We do, however, expect you to have strong analytical skills and be open to trying out new tools and techniques.
Yes, you can take part without any programming experience. You decide for yourself how far you want to go. You can work with Vibe coding tools or learn to programme in Python. The course is tailored to your learning objectives.
On the AI for Society course, you’ll work on a practical assignment set by one of our partners, or you can bring your own problem from your work. You’ll be guided by experts from various fields of expertise, so you can make the connection to your own work. This means what you learn is immediately applicable.
Yes, funding opportunities are available. Some sectors have this laid down in a collective labour agreement. In addition, many employers have training schemes. The Accelerate IT courses do not offer a route to a visa or residence permit. You can find more information on this on the IND website: Information on visas or residence permits
