Zing en speel mee bij Our Fontys Song
De kop is eraf. De winnende song is gekozen. We zijn klaar voor de volgende stap, het opnemen en het produceren van Our Fontys Song. Ben jij de drummer, toetsenist, gitarist of zanger(es) die wij zoeken? Lees dan zeker even door.
Op basis van jullie verhalen en ingevulde enquêtes zijn 24 songwriters aan de slag gegaan. Afgelopen week is door de Artistic Board van Our Fontys Song uit deze inzendingen de ‘winnende’ song gekozen. Deze is geschreven door Yassir Oostrum en Tom Wullems van de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. Het nummer wordt nog bijgeschaafd en krijgt een pop-rock arrangement.
Meedoen?
Een song die zijn oorsprong vindt in de Fontys community kan natuurlijk alleen worden gemaakt met behulp van diezelfde community. Daarom vragen we alle studenten en medewerkers die dat leuk lijkt zich hiervoor aan te melden. Dat kan via dit formulier.
Studenten en docenten van Rockacademie gaan de opnames en het productieproces ondersteunen.
Ook huis, tuin en keukenzangers welkom
We zoeken instrumentalisten en zangers. Daarnaast zoeken we stemmen om het koor te versterken. Je hoeft dus geen John Legend of Alicia Keys te zijn om mee te doen. Lijkt het je leuk om mee te werken geef je dan vooral op. Deel dit bericht met je medestudenten en collega's en zing samen met hen een zomer tegemoet waarin we elkaar hopelijk weer een omhelzing kunnen geven.
Wanneer?
De productie van Our Fontys Song start op 10 mei en eindigt twee weken later, op 24 mei. Hierna wordt er een shoot gedaan voor de bijbehorende videoclip. De launch van Our Fontys Song volgt een kleine maand later op 21 juni. Achter de schermen wordt hard gewerkt aan de vormgeving van het launch event.
We kunnen helaas nog niet veel bekend maken over de songtekst, maar houd onze website in de gaten voor updates en achtergronden.

The headline is off! The winning song has been chosen. We are ready for the next step, recording and producing Our Fontys Song. Are you the drummer, keyboardist, guitarist or singer we are looking for? Then be sure to read on.
Based on your stories and completed surveys, 24 songwriters got to work. Last week, the Artistic Board of Our Fontys Song chose the 'winning' song from these submissions. It was written by Yassir Oostrum and Tom Wullems of the School of the Arts. The song will be fine-tuned and given a pop-rock arrangement.
Want to join?
A song that originates from the Fontys community can of course only be made with the help of that same community. That is why we ask all students and employees who would like to participate to do so. This can be done via this form. Students and teachers of the Rockacademie will support the recordings and the production process.
House, garden and kitchen singers also welcome
We are looking for instrumentalists and singers. We are also looking for voices to join the choir. You do not have to be John Legend or Alicia Keys to participate. When.
The production of Our Fontys Song starts on May 10 and ends two weeks later, on May 24. After this, a shoot will be done for the accompanying music video. The launch of Our Fontys Song will follow a month later, on June 21. Behind the scenes we are working hard to design the launch event.
Unfortunately we cannot reveal much about the lyrics yet, but keep an eye on our website for updates and background information.
