About the minor

In the tech industry more and more robots are used. In many situations, robots and humans have to cooperate in a dynamic environment. In the last few years, many technological advancements have been made and a lot of opportunities for creative, technological solutions exist in the field of adaptive robotics. Curious and innovative engineers from various disciplines can make a difference in this world where a lot is still to be discovered. The minor adaptive robotics wants to be an incubator for students in the broad field of robotics, in which they cooperate with the industry and use their talents and energy to deal with future challenges. Students gain expertise in 6 adaptive robotic-related fields within the minor Adaptive Robotics. These fields are Principles of Robotics (robotic algorithms and mathematics), Vision and perception, ROS (Robot Operating System), Robot Safety, Model Based System Engineering, and Hardware Abstraction. The minor requires the student to have a technology education as background (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology) or that the student can show to have the necessary technological background. This minor requires an open mind and a proactive attitude. Do you have what it takes?
