Fontys ICT is a state-of-the-art educational institute where students are given every opportunity to develop their skills in all areas of ICT, make informed choices and prepare themselves optimally for a career in ICT.

Fontys ICT works closely with the professional field to ensure that students' transition into society is as seamless as possible. To this end, it also makes use of a network of (international) contacts and exchange programmes to monitor ICT knowledge and current developments and incorporate them into its training programmes.

The importance of the Strategic Advisory Board is to advise Fontys ICT on ICT developments and needs that arise in the Netherlands, particularly in the longer term. By engaging in dialogue with the institute's management, strategic themes are assessed and direction is given to which Fontys ICT aligns its educational goals and strategy.

My contribution, as chair of the Strategic Advisory Board, is to ensure that these themes remain current, that the composition of the Strategic Advisory Board is a good representation of the (future) professional field, and that the advice given is properly followed up within Fontys ICT.
