For all programmes conducted in English Fontys Academy of the Arts has set minimum language requirements. To prove that you meet these requirements you will be asked to send one of the English language certificates.
To join this programme, you must first do an audition. Please read the guidelines for the pre-selection carefully. We are looking for passionate individuals or partners who love circus and performance art. You should have technical skills and a strong desire to grow and excel.
The deadline for the pre-selection was March 21 and has therefore passed. From October 1, 2025, you can register for the 2026-2027 academic year. Make sure to start in time, as the whole process takes a couple of days!
To take part in the audition you first have to apply via www.studielink.nl, where you can submit and manage your application. Requirements differ for EU and Non-EU students. As soon as you have completed and confirmed the application form on your personal admission page, you will receive an e-mail with the subject line ‘Confirmation preselection finished’ and only then you will take part in the pre-selection.
You will get an assignment, consisting of two videos, to upload before March 21. These videos help you stand out and secure your spot. Only selected candidates will advance to the live audition. Please read the video guidelines for the pre-selection carefully.
The live audition is in Tilburg from 26 to 28 May 2025. It is important that you attend all three days.
You receive the results quickly, so you won't have to wait in suspense too long.
Taking care of your finances is an important part of student life. There are tuition fees, possible scholarships, and (proof of) living expenses to consider.
Wondering how much your tuition will be? Please check out our tuition fee indicator.
Good to know: The Dutch Immigration Service (IND) requires non-EEA students to prove they have access to a certain amount of money per year or semester.
Besides tuition fees, there are more costs such as textbooks, introduction, excursions and a good laptop. Are you planning to move into a student room? Then you will pay rent and other living costs such as gas, water and internet. International students in the Netherlands typically spend €900-€1,100 monthly, covering rent, insurance, food, transport, clothing, and more.
Check on DUO whether you are eligible for study financing or a student public transport pass.
