Improve your language level

For all Dutch-language study programmes at Fontys, you start at B2 level at a minimum.You need this to get through the study material smoothly. It also provides a solid foundation for progressing to a higher language level during your studies!

Upon graduation, we aim for language proficiency at C1 level or higher. In some professions, the field of work may even place additional emphasis on elements of C2, such as oral communication or writing skills.

Improve your language level

Improve your basic written skills in Dutch (B2 level) to graduation level by practising in the Hogeschooltaal digital modules. We can financially support you to get free access to the Hogeschooltaal Nederlands digital learning environment through a pilot.Once you have access, you start with a check of your language level. Your starting level in the various components is determined based on your personal results. You are then offered exercises in your development area(s) only.
