Introduction

The Bachelor's programme in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (MIRT) at Fontys University of Applied Sciences trains students to become professionals in medical imaging and radiotherapy and radiation experts. Graduates of the programme are competent to carry out work in radiology, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy departments using specialist equipment and radioactive substances within a controlled environment and are also able to shape the (technological) care of the future. The MIRT programme is available at Fontys University of Applied Sciences as a four-year fulltime curriculum. Fontys is a University of Applied Sciences that is recognised by the Dutch Ministry of Education and Sciences. In accordance with the registration of the Diploma with the Dutch Ministry of Education and Sciences, a diploma grants the graduate the qualification to practise the profession of radiographer and carry the title of Bachelor of Science.
