S. (Stuart) Acker Holt

Stuart Acker Holt is an Amsterdam-based English researcher and lecturer working within Fontys University of Applied Sciences. He specialises in visual journalism, photography, and film, bringing with him a wealth of international expertise. He has work has been featured in titles worldwide including The Guardian, De Parool, The New York Times, Seudeutsche Zeitung.
He is currently working on Requiem for a Newsroom; a photography book and research effort unravelling the complex relationship between physical newsroom spaces within the rapidly evolving socio-economic landscapes within which they function. The book is produced with a focus on powerful visual content, high quality build and thought pieces from leading experts from across the field of journalism.
Outside of the journalistic work, Acker Holt is festival director of The Most Interesting Person – a project he founded in 2004 documenting the lives and ideas of the world’s most interesting people in partnership with organisations including Philips, TED, OBA and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
