F.J.A. (Fleur) Hendrickx

Fleur Hendrickx is a junior researcher who focuses on representation, inclusion, and imagery. Her work often intersects between media and healthcare.

Together with a team of researchers from the professorship Persoonsgerichtheid in een Ouder Wordende Samenleving (Person-centeredness in an Aging Society), she currently studies opinion leadership in healthcare and the representation of nurses in Dutch newspapers. In addition, Hendrickx is involved in the SPRONG project Creating Cultures of Care, which explores how the arts can contribute to a new perspective on (health)care. Hendrickx's interests, however, extend beyond just healthcare. She also writes stories for the Centre of Expertise Inclusive Society and designed the Journalism Dilemma Game (het Journalistiek Dilemmaspel), which aims to stimulate conversations about diversity and inclusion in newsrooms and journalism schools..
