International students, your journey begins here!
After arriving and registering at Campus Rachelsmolen, you'll be welcomed in style, take part in an inspiring masterclass, and get your first look at your new academic home. Be sure to head to the central hall of building R5, Rachelsmolen 1, Eindhoven.In the afternoon, all students come together for a laid-back borrel (Dutch-style social drink) at Café 040 — your first taste of student life in the Netherlands!

What to bring: Your passport/ID and diploma.

Please arrive at the R3 building on campus by 08:30

Meet your amazing intro parents and fellow classmates! After picking up your official Intro T-shirt and completing your registration, the adventure begins with a thrilling scavenger hunt around campus.Then, lace up your sneakers for an inspiring walking tour & lunch through the creative heart of Eindhoven: Strijp-S. The day ends with a fun-filled music bingo session and a tasty dinner at Rachelsmolen.

What to bring: Wear your IB T-shirt, bring a water bottle and your ID.

Please arrive at R3 by 09:15

Let the games begin! Spend the morning bonding through fun team games and sports activities at the Student Sports Centre. Then get ready to turn up the energy — the evening takes you to the Vibes Festival in the city centre, followed by a night out on Eindhoven’s legendary bar street: Stratumseind!

Not to worry, we have set up some tasty lunch & dinner for you all for this exciting & adventurous day.

What to bring: IB T-shirt, sportswear, indoor shoes (preferably with white soles), towel, and a water bottle.

Let’s end on a high note! Back on campus, the hilarious and high-energy Crazy 38 Game will test your creativity and team spirit one last time.

Then, wind down with a relaxed drink and snacks as we celebrate a week of new beginnings and lasting friendships.

What to bring: Your best mood and all the good vibes!

It is forbidden to consume strong drink and drugs. Alcohol is only served and drunk from 4 p.m. If we do find liquor and/or drugs, they will be confiscated and we may send you home. Under the age of 18, alcohol is completely prohibited. Students aged 18 or older will receive an 18+ wristband at the start of the introduction week upon presentation of their ID card.

During the entire introduction week, First Aid / In-house Emergency and First Aid is present. Employees can be recognized by their yellow vests.

Participating in the Introduction week will cost a total of € 80,-. For information about payments, please contact introductionweek-ib@fontys.nl.

We would like to be informed in advance if there are medical matters that we need to be aware of. This includes illnesses, (food) allergies (epipen) etc. You can report this to introductionweek-ib@fontys.nl.

Photos will be taken during the entire introduction week. These may be made public or used for promotional purposes. By participating in the introduction you agree to this (give permission for this).

The Fontys introduction week is called Purple and will take place from 25 to 29 August 2025.

The Purple Introduction Week is all about getting to know each other. Getting to know classmates, getting to know the study programme, getting to know the city where the new students will be studying and, of course, getting to know the Fontys community!

Just like previous years, we are planning to make the Purple Introduction Week just as beautiful and fantastic as every year, of course within the measures that are in place at that time. All the 'new' measures will create a challenge, but Purple is motivated to make it a great week again!

During the introduction week a lot of photos and videos will be made. Ranging from selfies and videos on a mobile phone by fellow students to photos and videos by professional photographers and filmmakers. By participating in the introduction week you agree that the photos and/or videos will be published (on social media, flyers, advertisements and websites).
