Study Association Proxy is excited to welcome all new international students with a series of fun and engaging activities to kick off the new academic year.
These events are a great opportunity to meet your new classmates, get to know your teachers, make friends, and get familiar with Fontys and your study environment. While participation is not mandatory, we strongly recommend joining – this is the ideal place to start your Fontys journey!

The new academic year starts in September.
Before your studies start, you will first take part in the introduction period, called Purple 2025!
During the introduction period (from 22 until 29 August), getting to know each other is key!
Photos and videos
During this introduction week, many photos and videos will be made. They will include selfies and videos made by students on mobile phones as well as photos and videos made by professional photographers. By participating in this introduction week you automatically agree that these photos and/or videos are being published (i.a. social media, flyers, ads and websites).

Hi everyone!
My name is Kourosh, I’m 20 years old, originally half Iranian and half Dutch, and currently studying Media Design at Fontys ICT. I’m in my third semester now and will start my fourth semester in Mobile App Development soon.
I’ve been part of the Intro Committee for a year as a co-leader, and this year, I’m proud to be the committee leader! I’ll be overseeing everything and making sure the introduction week runs smoothly. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by email — I’m happy to help!
Besides being part of the Intro Committee, I’m also a board member of Proxy, the study association of Fontys ICT, where I serve as Vice President and Head of External Communication. Proxy is a vibrant student community that organises a variety of fun and meaningful activities throughout the semester. It’s the perfect place to meet new people, build connections, and make the most of your student life!

My name is Tamer; I’m 19 years old and originally from Türkiye. I’m currently studying Media Design at Fontys ICT, and next semester I’ll be diving into the Mobile App Development stream.
I’m proud to be the president of Proxy, the study association of Fontys ICT. Proxy is an amazing student community where we organise all kinds of fun, social, and educational events throughout the semester. It’s the perfect place to make new friends, get involved, and enjoy student life to the fullest!
I’m also one of the co-leaders of the Intro Committee. Together with the team, we’re working hard to plan an exciting and unforgettable introduction week for all new students. I’ll be supporting the organisation and helping make sure everything runs smoothly.
