Update: Fontys netwerk weer stabiel
Het Fontys netwerk is na eerdere berichtgeving over een netwerkstoring weer stabiel. Dit betekent dat alle werkzaamheden kunnen worden hervat. De DDoS-aanval op het landelijke, externe SURF-netwerk die de storing veroorzaakte, heeft geen verband met de recente cyberaanval bij de TU/e en staat volledig los van de systemen van Fontys. De collega’s van Fontys I&T hebben bevestigd dat alle bestanden en gegevens veilig zijn, en zij voeren op dit moment controles uit op alle systemen.

Hoewel het netwerk stabiel is, kunnen nieuwe aanvallen op het landelijke SURF-netwerk niet worden uitgesloten. Volg daarom de interne berichtgeving en overweeg bijvoorbeeld om thuis te werken als je hinder ondervindt door netwerkproblemen.
Samen zoeken naar oplossingen
We begrijpen dat deze storing ongemak heeft veroorzaakt. Daarom vragen we instituten om flexibel om te gaan met studenten die hierdoor problemen hebben ondervonden en samen naar passende oplossingen te zoeken. Bedankt voor je geduld en begrip!
Update: Fontys network stable again
The Fontys network is stable again following earlier reports of a network disruption. This means that all activities can resume as usual. The DDoS attack on the national SURF network, which caused the disruption, is unrelated to the recent cyberattack at TU/e and is entirely separate from Fontys systems. The colleagues at Fontys I&T have confirmed that all files and data are secure, and they are currently conducting system-wide checks.

Although the network is stable, new attacks on the national SURF network cannot be ruled out. Therefore, keep an eye on internal communications and consider working from home if network issues persist.
