Physical meetings during Purple 2020, update 32

Update C

On Thursday 6 August, the government called on universities of applied sciences and universities to limit physical meetings during the introduction weeks for first-year students to informative meetings for small groups. This is in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible.

Fontys has already adapted the introductory programme for our new students to the current situation at an earlier stage. A large part of the introduction activities of the various Fontys study programmes therefore also take place online. During the planned physical induction activities, measures have been taken that are in line with the recommendations of RIVM and other authorities.

In response to the government's call, all these activities will be carefully reviewed in the coming days and adjusted where necessary. Any changes will be communicated later via fontys.nl/goedestart.

Fontys sees the introduction of students to their university of applied sciences and their study programme as an important part of a good start to their study career. At the same time, we feel a great responsibility for a safe course of study. Together with the study associations of our various study programmes, we are therefore working on an introduction for our students in which both aspects are guaranteed.
