Woonruimte gezocht voor internationale studenten

Fontys, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) en Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) roepen ook dit jaar hun medewerkers in de regio Eindhoven op om, indien mogelijk, een bijdrage te leveren aan de huisvesting van internationale studenten. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld door het (tijdelijk) beschikbaar stellen van een kamer of door aanbod van leegstaande woonruimte.
De vraag naar woonruimte voor internationale studenten is in Eindhoven ook dit jaar veel groter dan het aanbod. De gemeente Eindhoven werkt samen met de onderwijsinstellingen in de stad aan een structurele oplossing voor het probleem, maar die oplossing is helaas door de grote toestroom nog niet toereikend voor het komende studiejaar.
Hospitaverhuur
In Eindhoven is het nu mogelijk om een kamer ter beschikking te stellen als ‘hospitaverhuur’. Medewerkers die een kamer ‘over’ hebben in hun woning, kunnen die beschikbaar stellen voor studenten door deze zelf aan te bieden op social media platforms.
Platform
Op dit moment worden de mogelijkheden verkend voor een Eindhovens platform voor begeleide matchmaking tussen aanbieders van kamers en studenten die een kamer zoeken. Mocht zo’n platform er komen, dan kunnen ook medewerkers van Fontys, TU/e en Design Academy Eindhoven eventuele woonruimte in de regio Eindhoven via dit medium aanbieden. Dit platform is er echter nog niet, wat betekent dat medewerkers met een kamer nu nog zelf moeten zorgen voor de match met een student.
Medewerkers die al eerder woonruimte aan internationale studenten beschikbaar willen stellen, kunnen zelf contact leggen met woningzoekende studenten, bijvoorbeeld via de volgende facebookgroep:

Op de website van de gemeente Eindhoven is vanaf 10 augustus alle informatie te vinden met betrekking tot bijvoorbeeld regelgeving voor het hospiteren van studenten. Die informatie is dan te vinden via deze link: www.eindhoven.nl/studentenhuisvesting.
Accommodation wanted for international students
Fontys, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) again call upon their employees in the Eindhoven region to contribute, if possible, to housing international students, for example by (temporarily) providing a room or by offering vacant accommodations.
The demand for accommodation for international students in Eindhoven is again much greater than the supply. The municipality of Eindhoven is working together with the educational institutions in the city to find a structural solution to the problem, but unfortunately, due to the large influx, this solution is not yet sufficient for the coming academic year.
Hospita rental
In the municipality of Eindhoven, it is now possible to make a room available as 'hospita rental'. Employees who have a 'spare' room in their residence can make it available to students by offering it to students themselves on social media platforms.
At the moment, the possibilities for an Eindhoven-based platform for matchmaking between providers of rooms and students looking for a room in Eindhoven are being explored. If such a platform is established, employees of Fontys, TU/e and Design Academy Eindhoven will also be able to offer accommodation in the Eindhoven region through this medium. However, this platform does not yet exist, which means that employees who have a room will have to make the match with a student themselves.
