Deelnemers voor een internationaal vrijwilligersproject in Nederland

Elk jaar organiseert SIW verschillende internationale vrijwilligersprojecten in de zomer, in samenwerking met maatschappelijke organisaties zoals zorginstellingen, Staatsbosbeheer en festivals. Lees hier meer over SIW en internationale vrijwilligersprojecten in Nederland.

Meld je dan aan voor dit internationale vrijwilligersproject! In Bedum, vlak boven Groningen, is een locatie van ’s Heeren Loo gevestigd, één van Nederlands grootste zorginstellingen voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. Tijdens het project verricht je twee weken lang allerlei werkzaamheden in en rond de instelling, samen met 9 andere jongeren afkomstig van over de hele wereld en 2 getrainde begeleiders via SIW. ’s Heeren Loo kan de extra helpende handen in de zomer goed gebruiken bij het opknappen van de tuin en een schuur, het organiseren van extra activiteiten voor bewoners en bij de organisatie van een zomerfeest voor bewoners en medewerkers! Tijdens het project werk en woon je twee weken samen met de internationale groep deelnemers. Je verblijft met de groep in een scoutinggebouw in de buurt van de zorginstelling. Naast het werk is er veel tijd voor interculturele uitwisseling, leuke uitstapjes naar bezienswaardigheden of steden in de omgeving en naar andere delen van Nederland.
Functie-eisen: Jij: - bent full-time beschikbaar tussen 9 en 23 juni - bent geinteresseerd in werken in en rondom een zorgvoorziening voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking (voor het werk is geen specifieke vooropleiding nodig) - staat open voor samen werken en leven met jongeren uit verschillende culturen - bent vooral heel enthousiast en gemotiveerd om twee weken je handen vrijwillig uit de mouwen te steken om 's Heeren Loo te helpen bij allerlei werkzaamheden!

Social Pedagogy in Fostering , UK

The Project: This is an exciting project that builds on the development of Social Pedagogy in the UK. The project, “Head, Heart and Hands” is funded by a number of funding organisations and managed by a charity for foster care. The broad aim is to introduce a sense of social pedagogic practice in foster care in six sites throughout England and Scotland for the benefit of children and young people in foster care - and through this experience learn more about how Social Pedagogy may be more widely developed in the fostering sector.

Hierbij is het uitgangspunt dat door het aanbieden van de logeermogelijkheid de cliënten zich op hun gemak voelen en de thuissituatie ontlast wordt. Iemand die rust uit kan stralen en weet wat het voor ouders en kinderen betekent als een kind uit logeren gaat. Creativiteit in individuele activiteiten en activiteiten in groepsverband. Goede contactuele en relationele vaardigheden en een positieve instelling. Flexibiliteit in het draaien van diensten en actief mee kunnen denken in het team.

Aanbod: Uren 3,6 uur gemiddeld per week Werktijden Onregelmatig, op rooster. Het logeerhuis Luna is geopend op maandagmiddag tot en met donderdagmiddag voor de Buiten Schoolse Opvang (BSO) en vrijdagmiddag vanaf 15.30 uur tot en met zondag 19.00 uur en gedurende de schoolvakanties. Aanvullende informatie Het logeerhuis Luna, gelegen op het Woonpark Eckartdal in Eindhoven, is onderdeel van WBC 41 Kort Verblijf. Het logeren/kort verblijf is gericht op jongeren bij wie sprake is van een stoornis binnen het autisme spectrum. Er maken een 20-tal thuiswonende jongeren met een verstandelijke beperkinggebruik van het logeerhuis Luna. Per keer zijn er tussen de 5 en 7 logees aanwezig vooral in de weekenden en tijdens de schoolvakanties. Het doel is om professionele opvang te bieden, passend bij de behoeften van de jongeren en de vraag van de ouders.
