Lodewijk de Vries: This happened yesterday evening. I was just hanging with my friends untill one of the guys rang the doorbell. He had the ingenius idea to take his boat and his wakeboard and try to wakeboard through the Prinsengracht. At first it seemed like a suicide mission, however they proved me wrong. This is the picture I took. It maybe hard to see but this is my friend (who prefers to remain anonymous) wakeboarding through the Prinsengracht.
Maybe this is the start of a new thing; urban wakeboarding!
Why it's cool:
Science of the Time: These guys literally act like dolphins in the city and transform Amsterdam’s Prinsengracht into their personal water playground. To just do this in the heart of the a major metropolitan city also shows the need to venture outside the rules and see what else is out there. It’s men doing what they want to do.
