Cool Web 2.0, Give me interactive kicks:

Window to the world

by Kelvin Ko, Fontys IBMS Coolhunt

What it Is:

This concept Internet search device is designed by Mac Funamizu. It is a screen that will most likely be transparent. It will be like having wikipedia whereever you go but this is much cooler and way more advanced. The artist’s impressions for this concept is to make the portable device have a touchscreen panel, built-in camera,Wi-Fi connectivity, Google Maps and Google Search capabilities. The capabilities of this screen is that when you point it at an object, the device will be able to show you more details about it -such as the name of an insect, a car model, or food on the table- on the screen. We suppose at this point of time it will use the onboard Wi-Fi to grab information off the Web.

Why it's cool:

This is cool because it is something new that not many people have heard of or even imagined. This concept Internet search device would be very handy for tourists because of the feature it has. Just close your eyes and imagine you are on vacation, fore-instance Rome, and you have this transparent glass in your hands, and it tells you all the information you need to know about the surroundings around you. From food to buildings, sculptures and insects etc… that is why this is cool everyone that loves to travel would want this product.
