Are you always the go-to friend when someone needs a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand? Do you love being there for others, but sometimes find yourself running low on energy by the end of the day?

It’s a great good to show compassion to others, but how do you actually find this balance between loving the other and also caring for yourself? How do you care for others without draining your own battery?

TINT and Ichthus Eindhoven invite all students in Eindhoven to a lunch and workshop about healthy helping. We’ll kick off with a lunch where you can dive into some reflective questions with fellow students. Want to go a bit deeper? Stick around afterwards for an interactive workshop guided by TINT Life Coach Margit van Tuijl and student pastor Eveline Buist-Laseur, filled with practical exercises that help you reflect on how you balance between giving and receiving help. We’ll do this both from a broad philosophical (TINT) and a Christian (Ichthus) perspective. Whatever your perspective is, you’re welcome to join!

De Workshops Buddy voor Elkaar, georganiseerd door Fontys Caribbean Connection, vinden iedere woensdag plaats van 7 oktober t/m 2 december 2026 van 15:00 tot 17:00 uur in ruimte Pulsed (R10) op Campus Rachelsmolen. Tijdens deze gratis workshops ontmoet je nieuwe mensen, oefen je samen Nederlands, leer je elkaars culturen kennen en breid je je netwerk uit. Het evenement is toegankelijk voor voltijdstudenten en geschikt voor zowel Nederlandse als internationale deelnemers. Aanmelden of vragen stellen kan via buddy@brainportvoorelkaar.nl.

On October 15th, 2026, from 20:00 to 02:00, Eindhoven University of Technology celebrates its 70th anniversary with an unforgettable evening: the TU/e Lustrumgala. Located in Auditorium, this special event brings together students, alumni, and staff for a night of elegance, connection, and celebration. With an open bar and six hours of music and revelry, this will be a night to remember for the ages!

Under the theme Connected Constellations, the gala highlights the bonds that unite the TU/e community across generations, disciplines, and experiences. Just like stars forming constellations, every guest contributes to a larger story of innovation, collaboration, and shared memories brought together by a common curiosity for knowledge.

Genre-bending neder-hyper-pop die alle grenzen opzoekt. IDA combineert scherpe, introspectieve teksten met de eclectische producties van MAZOO. Brutaal én kwetsbaar, dansbaar én confronterend. Ze legt de volwassen wereld onder de loep en danst er keihard overheen, met singles als 'Kubus In Een Ballenbak', 'Niemand' en 'Vlammen'.

Na haar sterk ontvangen debuut-EP Komt Goed zette IDA Eurosonic Noorderslag in de fik en heeft ze sindsdien niet stilgezeten. Op 8 mei stond ze voor een uitverkochte soloshow in Utrecht, en 2026 belooft haar meest ambitieuze jaar tot nu toe, met een volle festivalzomer en Paaspop als aftrap.

Nederlandse teksten op hyper-pop producties die net zo goed in een club als in je hoofd blijven hangen.

Bier & Boeken: De Techbro's

Op 29 oktober 2026 vindt in Cinecitta Tilburg een nieuwe editie van Bier & Boeken plaats. Tijdens deze avond staat het boek De Techbro's centraal, geschreven door George van Hal en Laurens Verhagen.

Het boek onderzoekt hoe invloedrijke miljardairs uit de technologiesector, zoals Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk en Mark Zuckerberg, met hun ideeën en ambities steeds meer invloed uitoefenen op de samenleving. De auteurs laten zien hoe futuristische visies op technologie zowel kansen als risico's met zich meebrengen. Ze bespreken onder andere de macht van grote technologiebedrijven, de invloed op democratie en privacy en de vraag of technologische vooruitgang altijd een positieve ontwikkeling is.

De bijeenkomst begint om 16.30 uur. Bezoekers kunnen zich aanmelden via Florian Tom, f.tom@student.fontys.nl. Deze bijeenkomst is interessant voor iedereen die meer wil weten over de invloed van technologie en de macht van de grote techbedrijven op onze maatschappij.
